SF Slapstick Comic SC Shaded, designed by Derek Vogelpohl of ShyFoundry, is a free comic caps display font with broad, irregular letterforms. Offset shading gives each letter a chunky, dimensional edge. The uneven angles and blunt curves suggest hand-drawn sound-effect lettering.
As an illustrated emblem, it can turn comic covers and game graphics into mock sound effects. The slapstick construction also suits children's entertainment and novelty merchandise, especially for superhero, arcade, or animated comedy themes.
