Author's note

Shaw Mono Bold by Joseph Spicer is a free Shavian script display font with smooth, weighty strokes and a distinctly mechanical finish. Rounded loops recur beside squared shoulders and blunt horizontal endings, creating an orderly sequence of compact but varied symbols.

Language-learning charts are a particularly fitting use, with the clear silhouettes helping each sign register as an individual form. It also suits experimental publishing, educational posters, and event graphics, linked by treating Shavian symbols as information and imagery.
