Shodo, is a free brush-eroded display font with the feel of fast ink lettering cut from heavy black shapes. The letters look battered and handmade, with torn edges, uneven interiors, and a dry-brush rhythm that keeps the alphabet raw rather than neat.
It fits posters, record sleeves, zine covers, title cards, and fashion graphics where a blunt, inky mark matters more than polish. As a free font, Shodo also works well for short headlines, logos, and monogram-style initials because the dark mass and broken outline give even a few letters a forceful, hand-drawn presence.
