Author's note

Sidewalk by Gyomsegs is a free eroded grunge display font with the look of ink dragged across rough concrete. Its heavy letters are broad and blunt, but the real character comes from the scraped, broken texture that bites through the forms and leaves a gritty, street-level impression.

That makes this free font a natural fit for poster headlines, album sleeves, zine covers, skate graphics, and title cards where a clean finish would feel too polite. It also works well for short branding lockups or event flyers, because the distressed surface gives even a few words the feel of something stamped, weathered, and used.
