Author's note

Sinclair ZX Spectrum ES, designed by Raúl Pelayo Díez-Andino of FSI FontShop International GmbH, is a free pixel font rooted in early home-computer lettering. Its upright letters are assembled from hard-edged rectangular units, with abrupt steps, square turns, and deliberately spare curves that preserve the coarse logic of a tiny low-resolution screen.

Digital graphics are its clearest setting, especially game interfaces and event posters, where the broken, grid-built shapes can make text resemble an authentic machine display rather than a modern imitation. It also fits merchandise and publishing about retro computing.
