Author's note

Sioux by Steve Cloutier of PYRS Fontlab is a free illustrated decorative display font built around broad, slab-sided capitals. Each letter serves as a frame for detailed frontier-era portraits, with faces, clothing, and feathered headdresses cutting into the solid shapes. The result is dense and poster-like.

Its Old West reference points toward historical entertainment, museum graphics, and themed event posters. The portrait-filled letters can also suit album artwork and merchandise centered on frontier imagery, where typography becomes part of the illustration. For heritage or Western branding, it functions less like neutral lettering and more like a row of compact character emblems.
