Author's note

SketchMe by Steve Cloutier of PYRS Fontlab Ltd. is a free eroded display font with the look of densely worked charcoal. Its broad letters are dark and forceful, but their edges break into scratches, skips, and dry dragged marks. Uneven contours keep the lettering raw rather than mechanically distressed.

The charcoal texture can echo hand-drawn portraits or rough editorial illustration on music posters, album packaging, and magazine covers. It also suits skate merchandise and event graphics, linking those uses through the same scuffed, ink-heavy surface.
