Author's note

Skritch by Alec Julien is a free scratchy handwritten font with thin, uneven strokes and a deliberately raw finish. Its letters tilt and shift in height, as if written quickly with a dry pen. Sharp joins give the writing a nervous edge.

Designers working in underground music, horror, or youth culture can use it to set an unsettled, handmade atmosphere. It suits gig posters and album artwork because the broken strokes resemble hurried notes or marks scratched onto a surface. The same rough quality can shape Halloween event graphics, indie game titles, and rebellious merchandise.
