Slayer based on Herculanum, is a free rough-hewn medieval inscription font with a theatrical, hand-cut feel. The letters lean on flared strokes, uneven edges, and a slightly ancient rhythm that makes the whole design feel part stone carving, part fantasy title sequence.
It fits poster headlines, TV-fan graphics, book covers, chapter openers, and logo-style wordmarks where a little drama helps. As a free font, Slayer is especially at home in title cards and short cover lines, because those jagged classical shapes and tapering strokes give even a brief phrase a ritual, old-world pull.
