Author's note

Slopness by Bythebutterfly.com is a free trash-style script font with tall, skeletal letters, narrow proportions, and long sweeping diagonals traced in restless, overlapping strokes and abrupt changes of direction. Its uneven lines look raw and deliberately unresolved.

The scratched, improvised manner draws on the rough language of photocopied punk graphics, making it apt for underground music flyers, event posters, distressed clothing labels, and small-run merchandise with hand-drawn artwork. Album covers are its strongest setting because the wavering forms can resemble a band name hurriedly scratched onto paper, then copied until every line becomes nervous and slightly broken at close range.
