Smudgers by Tjarda Koster is a free grunge display font that looks rubbed, scraped, and smeared across the letters. Its heavy, rounded forms keep the wordshape bold while the broken edges and blotchy gaps give it a dirty, street-worn feel that reads more ink-stained than neatly distressed.
It fits naturally on gig posters, zine covers, skate graphics, album art, and horror-leaning title cards where that rough drag matters more than polish. As a free font, it also works for short headlines, badge lettering, and logo concepts that need a chunky silhouette with enough damage to feel restless and handmade.
