Author's note

Sornaly by Al Mamun Sumon is a free heavy sans serif with compact, sturdy proportions and a notably dense silhouette. Its broad strokes and tight joins give the letters a blunt, almost stamped appearance. The forms feel direct and emphatic.

Editorial covers and food packaging are very different settings, but both can use this weight to establish a firm identity, giving names and compact messages an unapologetically solid voice. It also suits event posters and merchandise, where the solid shapes can echo simple icons, badges, or bold areas of illustration rather than behaving as neutral supporting type.
