Author's note

South Central Swiss, designed by Dom Nokes, is a free angular blackletter font with a severe modern edge. Its tall, narrow capitals are built from rigid verticals and sharply broken curves, with white slashes cutting through many strokes. The effect is dense and architectural.

Poster titles are its strongest use, particularly for metal and underground music. The fractured construction can also shape album covers and streetwear graphics, where the lettering resembles a carved emblem. Gaming graphics draw on the compressed forms and blade-like cuts for a gothic identity.
