Spikes by Loosy, the name used by Fabian Pfeifhofer, is a free distorted display font built from clusters of sharp, radiating marks. Its letters look scratched and bristling, with uneven strokes that gather into loose skeletal forms. The texture is deliberately unruly.
Thorns, static, and rough natural forms make this lettering especially apt for horror and experimental music graphics. It can turn poster titles, album covers, and game artwork into part of the surrounding illustration rather than ordinary type. The abrasive, handmade surface will appeal most to underground labels, independent events, and audiences drawn to raw, confrontational graphics.
