Author's note

Spiral Initials, a free Celtic Gothic font by Dave Nalle of Scriptorium Fonts, draws on medieval manuscript lettering with broad, carved caps and a strong old-world rhythm. The letters feel sturdy and ceremonial, while the ornamental initials bring in tight spirals and knot-like curls that push the design toward illuminated-page territory without losing its weight.

This free font makes sense for book covers, pub signs, festival posters, game title cards, and chapter openers where that insular, manuscript mood does the work fast. Use it when you want a headline, monogram, or drop cap to feel steeped in legend - the spiral detailing gives short words and initials the richest payoff.
