Author's note

Splendid 66 by Johan Holmdahl is a free distressed typewriter display font with a dry, worn ribbon feel. The letters mix old office utility with a slightly literary mood, and the broken edges, faint gaps, and blunt serif forms keep that weathered rhythm consistent across what is shown.

It suits book jackets, poster headlines, editorial pull quotes, film title cards, and packaging that wants a printed, handled look rather than slick polish. As a free font, Splendid 66 works best in short settings where the rough typewriter texture can do the talking, from cover lines to chapter openers and compact wordmarks.
