Author's note

Staccato, designed by Fabian Pfeifhofer, is a free playful display serif with low-slung, soft, swollen curves and an offbeat comic manner. Its clearly changing stroke widths give the letters a lively, informal, hand-shaped look. Rounded joins and compact forms keep the whole design cohesive despite its many eccentric details.

Independent labels and youth-oriented brands can use this approachable lettering for snack packaging, album covers, music posters, and casual merchandise. Logos are its strongest use, thanks to that rolling silhouette.
