Standard 07 57 Large by Mathieu Badimon of FSI FontShop International GmbH is a free pixel font built from stark square modules. Its coarse grid produces abrupt corners and pronounced stair-step edges. The lettering has the stripped-back look of an early bitmap display.
Those square blocks can echo low-resolution icons in game graphics and digital artwork. It also suits electronic event posters and merchandise with a deliberately rough screen-made finish. This is particularly convincing for arcade, computer, and retro-futurist themes.
