Author's note

Standard 07_58 by Craig Kroeger is a free bitmap font with a strict early-screen feel. Its letters are built from chunky square pixels and long upright strokes, giving the font a hard-edged rhythm that feels closer to interface graphics and old game menus than to softened retro revival lettering.

That makes it a natural fit for zines, poster titles, web graphics, game overlays, and music artwork where a blunt digital texture helps set the mood. As a free font, it works especially well in short headlines, title cards, and logo-like wordmarks, because the tall pixel columns and stepped corners keep every phrase looking deliberately coded.
