Author's note

Standard 07_66 by Craig Kroeger is a free bitmap font with a blunt, early-screen feel. The letters are built from chunky square steps and tight rectangular openings, giving the design a no-frills rhythm that feels rooted in game menus, old software labels, and pared-back digital graphics.

That makes it a natural pick for interface mockups, retro game branding, poster straps, zine headings, title cards, and compact logo experiments where a free font needs a crisp pixel voice. It works best in short lines, because the blocky silhouette stays consistent while the small notches and cut-ins keep the text from feeling flat.
