Author's note

Standard 09_65 by Craig Kroeger is a free bitmap font with a blunt early-screen feel. The letters are built from thick square pixels and hard right angles, giving the font a sturdy, blocky rhythm that feels closer to old interface text and game-era signage than to smooth contemporary sans serif work.

That makes it a natural pick for retro game graphics, zine covers, poster headlines, website banners, and title cards that want a low-res edge. As a free font, it also fits short logos, button labels, and other compact display moments where its chunky pixel grid becomes the whole mood.
