Author's note

Star Fox/Starwing by David Fens is a free pixel font with the stark, mechanical look of an early space-combat interface. Its tall capitals shift between very narrow and broad proportions, creating a deliberately uneven cadence. Several letters use squared openings and clipped interior turns.

Its retro science-fiction character makes it a natural fit for arcade game title cards and digital event graphics. The severe silhouettes also suit electronic music merchandise and technology-themed posters, where the lettering can resemble a coded display. In editorial design, it can give gaming features or hardware retrospectives the flavor of a vintage console screen.
