Author's note

Steel Jalopy by Alec Julien is a free outlined slab-serif display font with a vintage industrial edge. Its tall, sturdy letters combine squared serifs with rounded curves and changing stroke widths. An offset shadow gives every form real depth.

Garage brands and custom automotive shops could use it for logos and signage that echo cast metal badges. It also suits workshop posters and motorsport merchandise because the built-in shadow reads like dimensional lettering. The font is most convincing in automotive branding with a vintage mechanical bent.
