Author's note

SteinAntik, drawn by Manfred Klein, is a free hand-drawn sans serif with tall, spare letterforms, loose proportions, and an unmistakably uneven line. Its strokes shift gently in width, and the slightly wavering edges resemble marks cut or brushed by hand. The shapes remain open and direct.

That handmade construction can lend museum posters an archaic note, yet it also suits independent fashion branding that favors lean, unconventional lettering. Book covers, gallery programs, and album artwork are equally convincing settings, since the irregular capitals can echo ancient inscriptions, expressive illustration, or rough printed textures.
