Steve's Handwriting Basic by Steven Borthick is a free brush handwriting font with the direct look of a quick note made in thick ink. Its uneven strokes change width from letter to letter, and the rounded curves, blunt ends, and slightly wandering alignment keep the writing convincingly human.
Informal, personal themes suit journals, invitations, and children's publishing. The broad, irregular marks can also become part of hand-drawn illustrations or event posters, where their marker-like texture supports sketches, doodles, and other playful artwork.
