StingRay, a free retro speedway display font generated by Scorpio & Fontographer 3.5, has the swooping, late-70s custom-lettering feel of a logo cut for motion. Its letters are broad and heavy, then pulled forward with smooth curves, sharp beak-like serifs, and a low sweeping tail that gives the whole font a fast, aquatic glide.
It fits naturally in poster headlines, album covers, surf and skate branding, pub or diner signage, and title cards where a few words need that streamlined push. As a free font, StingRay works best in short settings like mastheads, cover lines, and monograms, because the exaggerated slant and hooked details do most of the talking.
