Author's note

Strade di Fuoco by P. A. Vannucci of Alphabet & Type is a free distorted display font with packed capitals. Its blunt shapes buckle at the edges, with cuts and notches breaking up dense silhouettes. The result feels loud and deliberately unstable.

It is strongest on concert posters, where the compressed lettering resembles a torn stage banner. Album covers and skate merchandise also suit its confrontational weight. The scarred forms connect these uses to punk, hardcore, and underground music graphics.

The STREETS OF FIRE font is based on the film Streets of Fire, directed by Walter Hill and starring Diane Lane.
