Straight Face, by High-Logic, is a free eroded display font with a rough poster-pulp attitude. The letters are tall, heavy, and blunt, but their edges look eaten away by drips, scratches, and irregular gouges, which gives the whole font a weathered, confrontational feel.
It works naturally for horror posters, garage-band flyers, distressed logo lettering, gritty magazine cover lines, and title cards that need a damaged surface without turning ornate. As a free font, Straight Face is most convincing in short bursts where those scarred vertical shapes and ragged cutouts can do the talking.
