Strelsau is a free medieval Gothic font by PJL, drawn with thorny blackletter energy and a decorative hand. The letters mix narrow, upright forms with curling hooks, pointed joins, and a lavish opening flourish that gives the font an illuminated-manuscript mood without losing its rough, inked edge.
It fits best in poster titles, book covers, pub branding, event flyers, and game title cards where that old-world, ceremonial flavor can carry the layout. As a free font, it also works for drop caps, short logos, and monograms, since the dramatic curves and little cross-like accents give brief words plenty to do.
