Author's note

Strungout by Max Infeld and Matt Barber of Xerographer is a free distorted outline display font with a restless, hand-scratched contour. Its looping letters repeatedly double back on themselves, with uneven strokes and wandering overlaps that make the forms look sketched, erased, and redrawn.

Its unruly underground-music character makes it a natural fit for gig posters and album artwork. It also suits skate merchandise. Across event flyers, record packaging, and apparel, the tangled linework turns the lettering into part of the illustration rather than a neutral caption.
