Sushitaro Font

Sushitaro, by Ryoichi Tsunekawa, is a free Japanese brush font with the look of quick sign-painter strokes and worn ink. The letters feel bold and casual at once, with heavy sweeps, rough breaks, and slightly lopsided rhythm that gives the whole font a street-level, hand-brushed character.

It fits food packaging, restaurant identities, poster headlines, title cards, and short editorial cover lines where a free font needs a distinctly Japanese, handmade mood. The ragged edges and blunt, painted weight also make it work well for logos or monogram-like initials, because even a few letters carry plenty of flavor.
