Author's note

Sveti Sava 1, by Nikola Kovanovic, is a free medieval Cyrillic display font with the solemn, hand-drawn character of church manuscript lettering. The letters pair broad vertical strokes with rounded, almost compass-drawn curves, giving the font a measured, icon-like rhythm that feels rooted in Orthodox and early Slavic inscriptional forms.

This free font makes sense on book covers, cultural posters, exhibition graphics, title cards, and monograms where that liturgical, historic mood needs to lead. It also suits short headlines and drop caps, because the strong circular shapes and tall, framed structure give even a few letters the weight of an emblem.
