Tafelschrift Font

Tafelschrift by Anke Art is a free chalkboard school script font with the loose swing of classroom handwriting. The letters lean into long, looping strokes and slightly rough, dusty edges, so the font feels written with chalk rather than drawn cleanly, with a friendly old-school cursive rhythm.

It suits blackboard-style cafe menus, classroom posters, nostalgic packaging, scrapbook titles, and short book or film cover lines where that hand-done texture matters. As a free font, it also works well for title cards, invitations, and brief monograms, because the tall loops and scratchy finish give even a few letters the feel of something quickly written on a slate.
