Author's note

Tall Deco, designed by Thomas E. Harvey, is a free Art Deco display font with extremely tall, narrow letterforms and clean geometric construction. Straight strokes dominate, with rounded rectangular curves and occasional broad arcs giving the lettering a sleek machine-age profile.

Posters offer its most convincing setting. The compressed proportions and crisp silhouettes also suit theater programs, cocktail packaging, and period-themed signage, especially when the design draws on 1920s or 1930s glamour. In these settings, the lettering can function almost like architectural ornament, but its clearest role is in poster titles that need height and elegance without bulky width.
