Author's note

TangramWhiteBlack by Manfred Klein is a free animal dingbat font built from angular, tangram-like figures. Every creature looks assembled from a small paper puzzle.

It is particularly well suited to children's puzzle books, where the outlined animal forms can act as illustrations, clues, decorative page markers, or playful section dividers. The same broken geometry can shape game graphics, educational worksheets, event posters, and packaging for toys or craft kits with a hands-on theme. Across these settings, the recurring facets and uneven contours make the varied creatures read as one coherent family of graphic symbols rather than ordinary lettering on the page.
