Author's note

Tarantis is a free Celtic display font with sweeping, blade-like serifs, dramatic changes between broad and fine strokes, and tapering extensions at the edges. Sharp internal angles keep the ornate capitals from feeling soft.

Fantasy book covers are its strongest setting, where the lettering can suggest ancient kingdoms, folklore, or ritual without relying on extra ornament. The same carved, calligraphic quality suits role-playing game titles, historical event posters, and album packaging, and in editorial design it can turn a feature heading into part of the story's medieval or mythic setting.
