Author's note
Teatral by Tobias Sommer is a free eroded display font built from broad, squared capitals. Deep inline borders and offset dark edges give the letters a carved, three-dimensional face. Small chips, breaks, and speckled marks roughen the otherwise orderly construction.
It is especially suited to theatre posters, festival branding, and event merchandise, where the slab-like forms can read as both signage and scenery and suggest old painted stage flats. It offers entertainment graphics a rough alternative to clean lettering.
