Temphis Dirty by S. John Ross is a free distressed runic dingbat font with a rough, chipped texture that makes the symbols feel excavated rather than drawn. The marks mix straight strokes, sharp angles, dots, and maze-like turns, giving the set a hand-cut, archaic character with just enough grit to keep it from feeling ceremonial.

This free font fits best where you want signs and symbols to carry mood as much as meaning - on fantasy book covers, game title cards, zine headers, poster accents, and mysterious chapter openers. It also works well for monograms or short emblem-like lines, because the letters read like fragments of an invented script.
