The Basic Stuff by Woodcutter Manero is a free grunge-distorted display font with the blunt, battered feel of stamped lettering left out in the weather. The caps are thick and simple at heart, but their edges break apart into specks, chips, and rough patches that give the whole font a raw, street-poster bite.
It fits music flyers, zine covers, horror title cards, protest graphics, and bold packaging where a clean outline would feel too polite. As a free font, it also suits short headlines, monograms, and drop caps, because the worn texture does most of the talking before you add anything else.
