Author's note

The Main Event by Kevin Christopher is a free eroded display font with tall, tightly packed capitals and a forceful poster silhouette. Rough cuts nibble into the edges, and uneven vertical strokes give the lettering the worn look of ink dragged across coarse paper.

Its narrow proportions and battered texture suit fight-night posters and sports merchandise, but they also bring a convincing hand-printed edge to music packaging and bar signage. There, the letters can become a stamped emblem or weathered sign, not merely neutral type.
