The PacMan, designed by Gene Buban, is a free angular blackletter display font built from heavy, sharply cut letterforms. Its wedge-like points and abrupt notches create a hard, emblematic silhouette.
It is especially suited to game branding, where the blocky forms can turn a title into part of the interface or badge. The same aggressive geometry also fits esports merchandise and arcade-themed event posters.
