Author's note

Thomson Uncial, created by MouserFonts, is a free Celtic uncial display font with a dark, hand-cut quality. Its broad curves and sharp wedge-like strokes produce irregular, strongly inked letterforms. The forms feel ancient and ceremonial.

Fantasy, folklore, and medieval subjects are the clearest match for this lettering, especially in book covers and game graphics. Festival posters and craft packaging can draw on the same carved shapes to suggest old manuscripts, tavern signs, or legendary tales. In branding, its pointed details and rolling curves can turn a brewery name or heritage product mark into an emblem with a distinctly Celtic profile.
