Thurston, a free rough-hewn display font from Typeface High-Logic, leans into a hand-cut signpainter and woodblock mood. The caps look scraped and battered, with uneven edges, heavy strokes, and a restless, ink-drag texture that keeps the letters feeling raw rather than neat.
It fits poster headlines, band flyers, horror-leaning cover lines, title cards, and pub or festival branding where a free font needs grit without turning into novelty. The broad shapes keep the message blunt and immediate, while the distressed surface gives short words, monograms, and opening initials a worn, handmade shove.
