Tienne by Vernon Adams is a free high-contrast serif font with broad, stately proportions and crisp, bracketed serifs. Its changing stroke widths give the letters a lively, literary texture. The rounded forms remain firm and carefully drawn.
Book covers are an especially convincing use, since the type's formal silhouette suits both classic fiction and contemporary literary titles.
