Author's note

Tinos, with its 2010 digitized data credited to Google Corporation, is a free serif font with a formal, bookish character. Strong thick-thin changes and sharply bracketed serifs give the letters a crisp outline. The proportions are compact, with broad capitals and restrained curves.

It can move easily between long-form publishing and institutional branding because its familiar shapes feel measured and authoritative. Reports and academic materials are an especially natural fit.
