Author's note

Trapwagen Midden, designed by Jeffrey Visser of FSI FontShop International GmbH, is a free dot-matrix bitmap font built from neat rows of circular pixels. The rounded dots soften its squared letter structures and make the lowercase forms resemble an electronic display assembled from bulbs.

It can move convincingly between arcade game graphics and music-event posters because its modular texture feels both digital and theatrical. Album artwork and technology branding can use that grid of lights as part of the graphic concept, not just as lettering. Its audience is designers working with retro electronics, playful interfaces, or illuminated-sign imagery.
