Author's note

Travel Diary is a free eroded serif display font with old-style proportions. Its uneven edges, dark vertical strokes, and heavily scratched surfaces resemble lettering worn into an old printed sign, yet the open interiors and loose widths keep the shapes recognizable.

It can give travel journals and heritage packaging the weathered look of objects collected on the road, and its rough construction also suits folk music posters and adventure-themed merchandise. Across those different uses, the repeated gouges and imperfect contours provide the common thread, suggesting ink, wood, and surfaces marked by handling.
