Author's note

Trip Serif CE, a free modern hybrid display serif by Matej Syxra and Jan Moravec of Page42, was created in 2000 with a crisp, turn-of-the-millennium edge. Its lettering mixes spare geometric curves with abrupt slab-like accents, pairing broad rounded forms and narrow strokes in a rhythm that feels deliberately uneven rather than ornamental.

As a free font, it fits arts posters, editorial covers, album sleeves, cultural branding, and title cards that need a cool but slightly offbeat voice. It works best in short headlines, where the contrast between expansive curves, clipped joins, and compact verticals can shape the whole composition without extra decoration.
