Trout by paintblack is a free geometric sans serif with exceptionally light, near-monoline strokes. Broad circular curves meet sharply angled forms, and several letters use pared-back joins that give the alphabet an architectural edge. The generous proportions make the lettering feel airy and composed.
Fashion branding is its strongest setting, especially for refined contemporary wordmarks with little ornament. The same clean geometry suits cosmetics packaging, gallery posters, and magazine covers, where its sweeping curves can echo simple product photography or abstract line art.
