Tuer's Cardboard, a free eroded display font by Staffan Vilcans, channels battered Victorian job-printing through chunky serifs, blunt weight, and edges that look pressed from worn board. The letters feel old and handled rather than neatly distressed, with a stout, poster-like presence that keeps the texture visible even in short words.
This free font fits book jackets, antique shop branding, poster headlines, beer labels, and title cards where a bit of age should feel physical, not fussy. It also works well for pull quotes or drop-in initials, because the rough outline and broad serif shapes give even a few letters the air of something printed many times over.
